So many great memories were made this past week as we embarked on our journey to Mexico to race the SCORE International Baja 500! We came together as a team, as brothers and combat veterans to take on the challenge of racing this legendary off road race! Baja can bebrutal, tough, beautiful and always gets your adrenaline going!!! And that’s why we do it…we conduct our race operations just like we would in the military and everyone has their part to do…whether it’s riding or on the pit crew. Baja won this year and although Jesse and Nick had great rides during their portion of the race..baja claimed our third rider Eric who had a gnarly crash around race mile 180. Eric being the tough and determined warrior he is got back on the bike somehow and made it back to our pit crew…not knowing the injuries he sustained he did everything he could to repair some of the damaged bike a shot! He fought the bike for 10 or so miles before making the right decision to not risk his life anymore due to the bike not operating correctly…but that just goes to show you who we are, the kind of men who serve our country…they at least did everything they could along with our pit crew to stay in the fight!!! Eric suffered and preserved through the pain of a broken hand, bruised liver, and broken vertebrae in his back…that could of easily happened to Nick or Jesse but that’s why we do it.. The risk makes us feel alive and the brotherhood and camaraderie that is born from tit only brings us closer together! We’ll be back baja and we’ll be ready for another good battle!!!
